RIBBLE ENTHUSIASTS’ CLUB

MEMBERSHIP FORM

Formed in 1954 by the late T.B. Collinge with the official approval of Ribble Motor Services Ltd., to record details of the Ribble and Standerwick fleets and those of the joint operators.

The present day club provides information concerning the current events taking place in the major and minor operators fleets within the north west, which is contained in our monthly bulletin. It also provides historical information to members via the bulletin, publications and individual queries.

NEWS BULLETIN: A monthly illustrated bulletin is published which comprises:

1) The Editorial – containing all the latest Club Notices; Club merchandise sales; transport related articles; visit and tour reports; members letters and advertisements.

2) Vehicle & Service News – listing all the changes taking place in the north west bus fleets including all the major operators as well as many of the independent operators.

3) Archive section – recalling memories in tales and illustrations from Ribble and the former joint operators of earlier days.

VISITS & TOURS: These are arranged to take place throughout the year and include visits and tours to operators garages and other places of interest. Three days tours a year are also normally arranged.

SALES & PUBLICATIONS: The Sales Department sells any item of a transport-related nature. Many items have been donated by members but new items are also for sale such as Club badges and ties.

Also sold are various publications produced by the Club as well as second hand books, plus photographs, framed prints etc. Various rallies and events also attended each year by the sales stall.
