RAYNER PLATE COMPETITION RULES

All teams knocked out of the ‘Rayner Shield” competition prior to it’s second round  are automatically entered into the draw for the first round of the “Rayner Plate” competition provided they fulfilled the fixture with at least six players. The rounds for this competition will be run in tandem with the Rayner Shield rounds. Teams will consist of nine players per team playing 21 up. It will be run on a handicap basis, that is to say, that at the end of the match when the chalks are totalled, the handicap will be added to the appropriate team or teams. The result of the match will be decided by the number of chalks scored in total. In the event of a draw on chalks, then the team having won the most games during the match become the winners. In the event of two teams from the same club being drawn against each other, both teams will be awarded a home handicap. The final will be played on a neutral green, selected by the Executive Committee, both teams being awarded the appropriate away handicap.
