EVNPA SUMMER SHOW 14/06/09  The EVNPA held their summer qualifier show by kind permission of ‘Ballacorey Equestrian'. The weather was very generous and the sun shone all day, making the effort of competitors worthwhile as all the ponies and horses competing looked superb. Grateful thanks to our judges Karen Gordon, Clare Drewry and Dick Ponton and also to their ring stewards and the many helpers on the day. The club would also like to thank the continued generosity of its sponsors. Jessica Collister had a super day on her lovely chestnut ‘Flying Phoenix' winning several classes and taking home 4 class wins, two championships and a reserve. Shannon Bridson also had a productive day in what is probably her last season with ‘Hillendale Sweet William' – with 3 class wins and a championship and reserve. At the end of day the judges had the difficult task of choosing their supreme of show from a superb line-up – the final spoils went to Jane Hathersich-Jones and her lovely 5 year old ‘One More Knight' with reserve going to Emily Kelly and her consistent ‘Moelview Mardigras'. Many competitors qualified for championships in the UK later in the year and the EVNPA committee wishes them every success. Several riders took advantage of the special offer by ‘Ballacorey Equestrian': vouchers could be purchased on show day at a reduced rate for the 8 mile farm ride to be completed either on show day or in the future. This excellent offer will be available at all future EVNPA shows at Ballacorey. The next event is the Fun Show on Saturday 18 th July. EVNPA FUN SHOW 17/05/09 The EVNPA held their first show of the season by kind permission of ‘Ballacorey Equestrian'.
