The work of the Knights is carried out at both local and national level.

Following the KSC's successes of the national 'Wells for Water' campaign, which raised £277,000, and the recent "Partners for Health" project raising £140,000

The current National Action Project running from 2009 to 2010, will support Vision Aid Overseas by the collection of unwanted spectacles.

how to join


Membership in the Knights of Saint Columba is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 16 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church.


Council 458 is a very active Council and welcomes men who wish to be involved in the meetings, church services, social activities and fund raising events. As a member of the Knights of Saint Columba you and your family will enjoy many personal and family benefits. It also provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people.


Members receive 4 free issues of the Columba magazine annually and are eligible for any other benefits provided by the Knights of Saint Columba.


Our ladies provide invaluable support to the Knights and the Council by providing assistance at events and fund raising activities.
