Where we are in the world......

The Isle of Man is an Island in the middle of the Irish Sea between England and Ireland.  Port Erin is a fishing village on the South-West coast of the Island, and due to it being a natural deep water refuge, during the summer months all kinds of watercraft have been known to visit the bay.  Craft have ranged from submarines to flying boats, but now it  mainly consists of visiting yachts, the local crab and fishing boats, diving vessels and the usual assorted water sports craft.

The Lifeboat house is situated on the southern side of the bay, between the Raglan Pier and the remains of a breakwater that was completely destroyed by storms many years ago.
